More About Me

I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Idaho. Although I have called Eagle home for the past 15 years, I first hung my shingle in Twin Falls, Idaho in 2006. Prior to this I was at Stanford University researching and publishing studies on the prevention of eating disorders before I felt the calling into clinical private practice. I loved meeting one-on-one too much and couldn't see myself doing just research forever. Although I have specialized in the treatment of eating disorders for well over a decade my passion has shifted to include the treatment of trauma and symptoms associated. We all hold trauma whether it be big T trauma or little t trauma and we all experience hard parts of life. Helping people reprocess their “green grapes” and live lighter and freer has become one of my greatest joys.

Part of my doctoral graduate work was dedicated to the integration of spiritual-wellbeing into my practice and this has become the cornerstone of authentically loving-well. From a judgement free perspective, I meet everyone with open arms right where they are at on their healing journey.

My daily life consists of keeping up with my husband and two active teenagers, Bible study, prayer groups...all which requires lots of sipping coffee. Self care for me is a good cup of tea in my favorite chair or walking my dog on the Boise greenbelt...AirPods in with a worship playlist or a good fictional novel, depending on the day.
